About Slat Wall Panels

Slatwall Panels may also be referred to as slot panels, slat panels, and slatted wall panels.  They are a popular retail display panel system consisting of horizontal grooves though a MDF board panel. Each slot includes a high-strength aluminium insert for an increased weight rating. This accommodates a large variety of retail shop fittings that conveniently slide into the slot.  

What Colour Can Slat Wall Come In?

Advanced Display Systems offers a range of over 500 colours, beyond simply white or black slat wall. We can customise our slatwall with any colour, texture or woodgrain in the Polytec, Laminex or Formica colour ranges. This allows you to create a display that matches the exact needs of your brand, shop, store or retail space.

Customising Slatwall To Match Your Store Layout

Our custom slatwall services offered include cut-to-size services, edgings & trims, custom grooving and base shelves or plinths.

Slatwall panels come standard in a 2400mm x 1200mm size, but can easily be cut to whatever size you need, including creating a half groove on panels so two panels can be stacked for higher height retail display walls. When your slat wall panels are delivered it will be ready to install, providing a fast and easy display solution.

Quality Manufacturing & High Quality Materials

One of the key features of slatwall is its strength. Proving to be a flexible merchandising solution for many retailers worldwide, the secret is in the grooving and aluminium inserts. At Advanced Display Systems, we know quality and design means strength.

Our high quality milled aluminium T-Extrusion inserts slides into each groove in the slat wall to create for a high strength display solution. Cheaper options such as L-Extrusions and plastic T Extrusions result in an inferior fixture and increase the risk of the display breaking or falling apart, leading to costly repairs and risking injury to your staff or customers. Because of this, we strongly recommend using the aluminium T-Extrusions, especially if your display will include heavier items.

Each of our slatted wall system panels are precisely CNC router grooved in our Brisbane factory under strict quality control, ensuring you receive a high quality product.  To learn more about what makes our slat wall panels better quality than imported products click here.

How Slatwall Systems are Installed

Installing slatted wall panels involves screwing through the extrusion into the support ‘studs’ of the wall to secure the slat wall in place. The greater the number of screws the greater the strength of the wall.  If you are joining panels together on the wall, we recommend a half groove on the edge of each sheet so that when the sheets are placed together with an aluminium insert, no join will be visible, creating a seamless wall display.
